If you’re looking for an easy air fryer salmon recipe, I gotchu fam. Personally, I don’t eat salmon as much as I would like to, but this recipe is super simple. In fact, it takes a few minutes to prep and minutes to cook.

My family has a very simple way that they cook their salmon. They usually just season with garlic salt and either cook it in the oven. They just recently started cooking in the air fryer, but whether in the oven or air fryer, both are delicious. Seasoning with garlic salt is also good, but my seasonings are slightly different and just as good.


Not only is this recipe super simple, but you can also use it to make the insanely viral salmon rice bowl by Emily Mariko (@emilymariko) seen everywhere on TikTok and Instagram. I’ll eventually have a separate post on her recipe because I love it so much and I think everyone should try it at least once (if you already haven’t).

Tips On Cooking Air Fryer Salmon


I recommend using fresh salmon versus frozen. If frozen is all you have, of course you can use it. Either way, fresh or frozen, the salmon should be thawed and ready.


No measurements for this recipe, so please eyeball and use your best judgment.


If you don’t have an air fryer, you can easily cook in the oven. If using an oven, I would cook it at 450 degrees Fahrenheit for 13 to 15 minutes or until cooked through.



Crispy Air Fryer Chicken Tenders – If salmon isn’t your thing and you want another easy air fryer recipe, this is a good one! The chicken tenders are crispy and super flavorful. YUM.


Spicy Korean Chicken Wings – These chicken wings are also cooked in the air fryer. After cooking and being tossed with sauce, they’re still crispy to bite into. Also, the sauce is fire.

  • 1 fillet Salmon
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 pinch Cayenne Pepper Powder


  • Brush lightly with oil.
  • Season both sides of the salmon with the following: salt, ground black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper powder.
  • Put the salmon in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook salmon at 380 degrees Fahrenheit for 13 - 15 minutes or until cooked through.
  • Remove from air fryer.
  • Serve hot alongside rice and veggies or turn into the widely popular salmon rice bowl.
