My New Year’s Resolutions List is going to be as detailed as possible. If you’re close to me, you know that the last 3 years has not been an easy one. I don’t feel the need to publicly state what that is, but if you’re really interested in knowing, my DM’s/text messages are always open.

I swore to myself years ago that I would never again make a New Year’s Resolutions list. The main reason being that I NEVER keep them. I do fine for a while and then they just get pushed aside. Out of sight, out of mind, am I right?

New Year’s Resolutions List/Goals

Goal #1 – Keep a journal. I definitely won’t write in it every day. But I do feel that maybe some days it’ll be good for me. I can look for a journal prompt online and just keep a journal that way. Even if no one reads it, it’s okay because I think having that outlet will be a good thing.

New Year's Resolutions List

Goal #2 – Read more books; at least 1 book a month. Reading was something that helped me escape. It helped transport me into another place when my own reality was too much.

Goal #3Declutter. There’s a lot of things that I know I should get rid of, but for whatever reason I have a hard time doing it. I probably won’t do it all in one shot, but I think as long as I slowly start, it’ll eventually work out.

New Year's Resolutions List

Goal #4 – This is always on my list. I’m sure it is on everyone’s list as well, but I want to be healthier and work out more. My family has a history of diabetes and heart problems, and I want to be healthier. I want to be healthier to spend more time with my family and friends.

Goal #5 – I lack confidence in myself. It’s great that I have so many people that believe in me, but I think it’s time that I really start to believe in myself.

Goal #6Take more time out for myself. I am someone that puts others before myself. That’s just how I am and I was told that I would always be a giver and not a taker. But I think doing small things for myself every once in a while to recharge isn’t a bad thing to do for myself.

Goal #7Do a gratitude check. Every night before I sleep, I want to write down one thing I’m grateful for.

New Year's Resolutions List

Goal #8Stay in touch with people that matter. Things happen and I just forget to text people back. I’m pretty bad at keeping in touch with friends and loved ones.

Goal #9Cook more. Cooking always brings me joy. Whether it’s a new recipe I’m trying or cooking some of my favorite dishes, I’m happiest in a kitchen. Knowing that my friends and family like what I cook also makes me the happiest girl in the world.

New Year's Resolutions List

Goal #10Treat myself with kindness. I always tend to beat myself up over things that don’t go how I want them to. Whether it’s a recipe that didn’t work out, or I didn’t manage my time well, I beat myself up over it and drive myself crazy on how I could have done things differently.

Goal #11Drink more water. Do I even need a reason for this? I generally am good about drinking water, but I have my days where I don’t.

Goal #12 Put the laundry away. I’ll admit some days I will do laundry and it stays in the basket for days.

New Year's Resolutions List

Goal #13Create a cleaning schedule. Things would go so much more smoothly if I had a cleaning schedule and stuck to it.

Goal #14Continue to work on Chow With Melody. I slacked off with videos last year and keeping up with the blog. I had a bunch of excuses, but as I said earlier, cooking helps relax me and makes me happy and I need more of those good vibes.

Goal #15Work on not procrastinating. I always tend to push things back. It drives my husband insane. So to save his sanity, I’ll work on that. Haha.

Out With the Old & In With the New

I think for the most part, these are my goals for 2022. I wanted to make sure that they were achievable, simple, and things that I know I can and should be doing.

Have you guys made a New Year’s Resolution/Goals list? Let me know some of your goals for 2022 in the comments below!
