As far as I can remember, corned beef omelette has been one of my favorite breakfast items. Yes, this was another thing that my grandma used to make and I love it. Whenever I want something quick, I turn to this recipe. Not only is it quick, but it is also delicious and doesn’t require too many ingredients.

The reason why I enjoy corned beef omelette so much is because I have memories tied to it. I have memories of my grandma being in the kitchen and cooking it. Waking up to the smell of the onions and garlic being cooked is one of the best smells in the world

I know that corned beef in a can may not sound appealing, but it really does work. If you don’t believe me, you need to try it out for yourself. The corned beef omelette is super popular when it comes to Filipino breakfast.

This corned beef omelette is perfect with a nice steaming bowl of rice. Sometimes, I like to dip each bite with some ketchup. I try to limit how many pieces I have, but I PROMISE you, you can’t only have one.

Tips On Making Corned Beef Omelette

Before adding the corned beef to the egg mixture, I like to mix the eggs first. Then after I add the corned beef, I mix again it to make sure everything is incorporated well.

Before adding the corned beef mixture to the eggs, make sure that it is completely cool.

Filipino Corned Beef Omelette

  • 1 Can Corned Beef
  • 1/2 Cup Onions
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic
  • 5 Eggs
  • 2 Tablespoon Oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste


Preparing the Corned Beef

  • In a pan, add 1 tablespoon of oil.
  • Add onions and garlic. Sauté until soft.
  • Add corned beef to the pan. Sauté for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from pan and allow to cool completely.

Preparing the Eggs

  • Crack eggs into a large bowl.
  • Add salt, ground black pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Mix until eggs are well incorporated.
  • Add the corned beef into the bowl.
  • Mix until all ingredients are incorporated well.

Cooking the Omelette

  • Add 1 tablespoon of oil into a clean pan.
  • Use 1/2 cup to scoop mixture onto the pan.
  • Cook on one side for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Flip. Cook on the other side for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Remove and transfer to a plate once done cooking.
  • Serve warm with rice.
